The entire chassis design breaks from convention, using ultra-thick aviation-grade aluminum alloy panels. Embracing a minimalist aesthetic, it minimizes unnecessary screws. The beautiful, thickened metal panels significantly improve vibration damping within the chassis—a specialized design feature in audio equipment. This ensures chassis stability and vibration resistance, presenting a truly clean and elegant appearance. It is equipped with a rich array of multi-functional interfaces to meet the needs of most audio modification enthusiasts.
The 708 model features a 7-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen. Many brands lack this feature, partly due to its higher cost and the demanding specifications required for the screen.
A single screen handles all functions and display content, which is very convenient. When not in use, the screen automatically switches to a digital audio cursor that moves in sync with the music. Screen background color, brightness, and volume adjustment are all very user-friendly.
When high power is required, you can use the simplified Poseidon-708 amplifier in a mono dual-mono configuration. In this setup, the amplifier absolutely meets your power demands.
It delivers a balanced output power of 800 watts at 8Ω load. When impedance drops to 4Ω, power doubles to an impressive 1400 watts, and when impedance drops to 2Ω, power further doubles to 2600 watts. A single unit consumes up to 270 watts, truly a power giant.
Additionally, settings can be configured independently. This dual-mono/mono configuration typically appears only in flagship models from various brands. The 708 power amplifier also features an independent volume control system with an adjustable range of 0-99dB, facilitating electronic crossover settings.
The Poseidon-708 employs a fully balanced circuit. The amplifier circuit boards are mounted on the upper, lower, left, and right heat sinks of each channel. The power supply section is divided into two parts, each independently powered and sampled.
Independent 1200VA toroidal transformers supply separate power to the cold-end and hot-end amplifier sections. Each power transformer is housed in its own独立的transformer casing, equipped with a precision mechanical vibration damping system to minimize vibration during operation.
This isolates the power supply circuitry from the sensitive audio amplification circuitry, preventing mutual interference.
A separate 7VA digital power supply powers the power-on logic circuitry.
